Hi,
Finally the process to follow for self-hypnosis:
1-You may want to sit down or you can lie down in a comfortable position
2-Locate a stare at a spot on the wall or ceiling.
3-Take in 3 slow deep breaths. The first breath is to relax your body and mind. The second breath is moving you into a state of hypnosis and deep relaxation. And on the third breath you will be in a state of hypnosis.
4-Give yourself a time that you will spend in hypnosis (5 minutes, 10 minutes, etc.), this will train your subconscious set you internal clock.
I am often asked what is self-hypnosis... my response is, self-hypnosis is the ability to communicate to the subconscious mind so that it can be reprogrammed to be in alignment with your conscious mind. The subconscious mind account for about 88% of your total brain power compared to your conscious mind at 12%... who would you say is in charge? All your experiences positive and negative have been recorded into your subconscious mind and create your reality of the world. For example, let's say when you were little and your mother saw a bee and started to scream and told you to get out and run away because there is a bee and it is dangerous. Guess what this event may have caused to you... a potential phobia of bees. Even though consciously you know a bee is not that dangerous... it is only a bee and much smaller than me, your subconscious mind reacts in a much more intense way and makes you run away.
If you are like every human being on this planet, you talk to yourself negatively many times a day. You say things to yourself like:
- I am so stupid, I should have known that...
- I can't remember names...
- I always make mistakes...
- I am not good at this...
- Etc...
Self-hypnosis is a great tool and so easy to learn. You can use it for many different purposes, below are some examples:
- Increase confidence
- Increase self-esteem
- Reduce anxiety
- Improve concentration
- Improve relaxation
- Achieve your goals
- and much more!
In the next few posts I will show you how to use self-hypnosis to help you achieve your goals. This can be to change a habit or pass an exam. Self-hypnosis is safe and very easy to learn. You don't need any special tools and you can do this everywhere. I show self-hypnosis to most of my clients and I get very nice feedback from them. They feel empowered and can see results!
There is a simple formula that will give you a better perspective of self-hypnosis... it is:
Relaxation + Imagery + Self-Talk = Self-Hypnosis.
Each of us is responsible for our lives, our happiness and our successes. It is up to us to take charge and go for our goals. We all have dreams and desires however we don't always utilize the right resources to get there. Wanting is something however succeeding is another.
Welcome to my blog, this blog will provide resources to help you succeed and to give you the tools that I know that will help you get there. I appreciate all of your comments and questions. Also, please send me any suggestions for topics!
Take care,
Sylvain
