Self-Hypnosis, the Process

Hi,

Finally the process to follow for self-hypnosis:

1-You may want to sit down or you can lie down in a comfortable position

2-Locate a stare at a spot on the wall or ceiling.

3-Take in 3 slow deep breaths. The first breath is to relax your body and mind. The second breath is moving you into a state of hypnosis and deep relaxation. And on the third breath you will be in a state of hypnosis.

4-Give yourself a time that you will spend in hypnosis (5 minutes, 10 minutes, etc.), this will train your subconscious set you internal clock.

5-Now imagine a wave of relaxation flowing from the top of your head and moving through each part of your body relaxing each muscles and letting go of all stress, anxiety, frustration, etc. Say to yourself words of relaxation like; relax, calmer, deeper and deeper relaxed.

6-Imagine a beautiful staircase with ten steps or a path that will lead you to a very nice place. Begin to count from 10 down to 1 and at the count of 1 you will be in your nice/safe place in your mind. Spend a few minutes there feeling, smelling, seeing, and hearing ...familiarize yourself with this nice and safe place. Example: If, you chose a garden...hear the birds, smell the flowers, feel the warmth of the sun shining on your face, just be completely in this garden...or mountains...or at the beach...where ever you choose this is the right place for you!

7-Now you can begin giving yourself positive suggestions, like 'I am confident', 'I love and accept myself', 'I am now in the process of being at my perfect weight for my body' or with imagery like; imagine yourself having confidence and standing tall in front of an audience, imagine yourself achieving your goals, imagine as much details as you can, sounds, smells, feelings, touch etc... really FEEL everything from every part of your body...

After the time allotted:

8-Count yourself up from 1 to 5, telling yourself you have enjoyed a wonderful relaxation and on 5 you will feel refreshed and invigorated and full of energy! Open your eyes, take a nice deep energizing breath and stretch!

Note: If you do this before going to sleep you can tell yourself that at the count of 5 you will move into a normal and natural sleep...until it is time for you to wake, refreshed and full of energy.

Have fun and share your experiences!
